Ahmed has over 14 years of Investment Banking experience, nine of which spent in London and three of which spent in the MENA region. He joined deNovo from Morgan Stanley, where he was most recently an Executive Director in the European Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team based in London. Prior to that, Ahmed had spent two years in the Investment Banking division of Morgan Stanley’s Dubai office focusing on covering MENA Real Estate companies and executing M&A transactions in various sectors.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2007, Ahmed had worked in the Investment Banking divisions of UBS, Merrill Lynch and Citigroup.
Ahmed has extensive bulge bracket Investment Banking experience, having advised on over $70 Bn of disclosable M&A, debt and equity related transactions. He also has significant MENA experience having worked across a range of MENA Investment Banking transactions including Real Estate, Construction, Metals and Mining, Oil Field Services, Retail and FIG transactions.
Ahmed started his Investment Banking career at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup), after graduating from the London School of Economics with a degree in Economics. Ahmed is a native English speaker and speaks basic Arabic.
